All eyes are set on this year’s Super Bowl ads – airing this Sunday 3rd February. Notorious for attracting ‘bandwagon’ viewers and those who tune in just for the commercials, Super Bowl fans are 17% more likely than the average American to visit social media sites. Last year over 111 million tuned in.

Brands leading the charge this year: Budweiser, Pepsi, Kia, Kraft’s Devour, Doritos, Colgate, Hyundai, Expensify, Audi, Planters, Pringle, Michelob, Stella Artois and M&Ms.

Here’s a list of all the celebs appearing in teasers and ads so far: Sarah Jessica Parker and Jeff Bridges, Cardi B, Steve Carell and Lil Jon (Pepsi), Michael Buble (Bubly), Serena Williams (Bumble), Backstreet Boys and Chance the Rapper (Doritos), Jason Bateman (Hyundai), Christina Applegate (M&Ms), Alex Rodriguez (Planters), Zoe Kravitz (Michelob), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Olay), Adam Scott and 2 Chainz (Expensify) and Luke Wilson (Colgate).

Stella Artois – Change Up The Usual

Stella Artois brings back a pair of iconic cocktail-loving characters in this year’s ad, starring Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw) and Jeff Bridges (The Dude).

Olay – Killer Skin

Ready for some 90s horror nostalgia? Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Scream 2, I know What You Did Last Summer) appears in a series of teasers – full ad airs over the Super Bowl weekend.

Michelob – The Pure Experience

Zoe Kravitz calmly whispers throughout this 60-second ad – a nod to the ASMR viral videos doing the rounds on YouTube (heck there’s even a Netflix documentary on this stuff).

Budweiser – Wind Never Felt Better

Touting its use of wind-power in its brewing operations, the ad features a dog on a Budweiser truck, riding along to Bob Dylan’s Blowin’ in the Wind.

Colgate – Close Talker

Actor Luke Wilson gets a little too close to his colleagues in this ad – a departure from their 2016 altruistic spot reminding people to turn off the water as they brush their teeth.

Kia – The Great Unknowns

Car company Kia chose not to use a celebrity in this year’s ad, despite using Steve Tyler and Melissa McCarthy in recent years.

Actress Christina Applegate appears in a 15-second teaser, in which she’s locked out of a car at a grocery store parking lot.

Pepsi – Acting Lessons

Pepsi teasers were aired last week featuring Cardi B, Steve Carrell and Lil Jon (who’s rumoured to be part of the halftime show). A separate ad promoting PepsiCo’s Bubly features singer Michael Buble scrawling his name over cans.

Pringles – Sad Device

An Alexa-like device longs to taste ‘flavour-stacking’ Pringles.

This teaser shows the Mr Peanut spokesman character tossing nuts into retired baseball star Alex Rodriguez’s mouth.

Bumble – #InHerCourt

The dating app is airing its first Super Bowl ad this year, featuring Serena Williams. ‘The Ball is in Her Court’ was produced entirely by a team of women.

PepsiCo has already released two teasers for this ad which features the Backstreet Boys teaching Chance the Rapper to dance.

Devour – Food Porn

Devour’s 60-second ad was banned from TV using the word ‘porn’. It generated over 3 million views in two days on YouTube as a result. A softer second ad will air during the game.

New to TV and the Super Bowl, Expensify released a music video to promote its ad. Viewers are encouraged to take pics of ‘receipts’ for various items on the screen and upload to the Expensify apps for a chance to win prizes.
