The Challenge

The DM Thomas Foundation for Young People is an independent registered charity that supports projects assisting disadvantaged young people across Europe. A key part of their fund-raising is the annual ball at the London Hilton and the charity wanted a heart-warming video to show those attending how their precious funds are spent.

The Solution

After a number of brainstorming sessions we came up with a structure that wove in the stories of four young people, each of whom had benefited from the charity in a different way. This built up to result in a clear call to action reaching out to those attending the ball and other benefactors.

How We Did It

We were introduced to all the young people and their carers who would be appearing in the video and listened to their stories. We then decided on the best locations for our interviews that would illustrate the individuals stories. The charity’s framework follows the acronym, ABLE – and we used this to give structure to the film via chalk boards. We

also recreated the logo in chalk as the climax of the opening sequence.

A stunning video that captures the amazing stories of the young people the charity has helped.
