The Challenge

After working with Independent Vetcare across Europe for a series of internal communications videos, Skylark Media was approached by the vetcare specialists to create a TV and digital-ready advert to promote their 'My Family Vets' service to a B2C audience.
With scripts devised by the IVC team, Skylark was tasked to further develop the concept and visualise this in a high-quality advert, fit for addressable TV and digital, with multiple iterations.

How We Did It

When it comes to drama, with the Skylark team IVC were in safe hands. Once we’d got the scripts signed off for broadcast we knew we were clear to start the casting process, source the props and then to build the set for the police interrogation room in Aardman Animation’s studio downstairs from our offices. You should never work with animals but we can’t help ourselves; we actually filmed the punchline with a dog, a cat and a rabbit to give endings targeted to different audiences!

IVC had devised some scripts for TV ads that wanted to make but had put the project on the back burner due to the price quoted by a London agency. We were able to offer a much reduced 'Bristol' rate so that IVC could make the ads to promote their new insurance product for pets.

The Results

The 'My Family Vets' campaign is currently running digitally across social, display and online media.

Everything has run to clockwork and within budget. The Skylark team is great to work with and it’s been a very, very enjoyable experience. Why would you go to London when you've got Skylark on your doorstep in Bristol making this kind of quality product? It's not something we'd consider in the future, going to London, there's no point.
