Whether you’re advertising a particular product or service or just working an adapting your brand, there’s something a little bit magical about an outdoor video campaign. The South West offers the best of both worlds, from stunning wild scenery, including untamed forests and beautiful beaches, through to bustling, exciting city life.

There are so many options you’ll be spoiled for choice, but here are just a few of our favourite locations for outdoor shooting to get your inspiration going:

Nelson Street, Bristol

If you’re looking for something a little less classic and a lot more urban, Bristol’s Nelson Street offers a city scene made vibrant with some truly amazing examples of graffiti. With an intimate history of Banksy artwork, Bristol is known for its graffiti art scene and is a fantastic place to shoot some down to earth footage.

Glastonbury Tor

A location associated with mysticism and magic, Glastonbury itself is bristling with shops relating to witchcraft, spells and crystals. The Tor itself, however, is very much its own thing; offering a stunning view from its vantage point, this location is ideal for videos working with the concepts of freedom or achievement, thanks to the steep climb it takes to get there!

Kynance Cove

A little further out towards Cornwall, this stunning beach site offers beautiful views of the Cornish seas and incredibly dramatic cliffs that make a perfect backdrop for a whole range of different video footage. Despite its odd name, Lizard Point at the end of Kynance Cove offers an even more impressive setting. Ranking at number 20 in the 100 Things to Do in England, the Lizard Peninsula is the place to go for epic shots of the ocean.

For truly unique footage, Puzzlewood is the place to go. Sat right on the border of Gloucestershire, this eerie location inspired The Lord of the Rings and the forest itself looks truly alien. For an out of this world video location, Puzzlewood is the ideal place to film. A variety of wooden paths and bridges crisscross the forest, offering hundreds of different vantage points and areas for a brand new perspective.
