One May 7th 2025 it was Skylark’s 20th birthday 🎈
We celebrated with a walk through the fields where I first came up with the name. Fittingly the skylarks were in full song, soaring above us to celebrate with team members old and new.
For me it was the fulfilment of a long held dream: bringing together the incredible people who have shaped Skylark Media | B Corp certified in the place where it all began. Then on to some well earned drinks, games and feasting.

I’m so grateful to everyone who’s been part of this journey. Helping to build a video production company in Bristol with sustainability at its core. Then in 2022 we were recognised for our purpose led approach with B Corp certification.
We’ve ‘nested’ in so many stunning offices; from over the Aardman animations studios, to the top floor of the Arnolfini building to our current home in the atrium of The Old Chapel in Clifton. All iconic places with outstanding views. We’ve worked with so many brilliant companies and charities and I’m proud to say that we’ve done our bit to promote so many conservation, green energy and humanitarian causes. The first 20 years have been an exciting ride – full of purpose and plenty of fun.
And there’ll be more to come as we take on new team members and evolve strategies for our ever changing, but beautiful, world.

The ‘skylark fields’ where I came up with the company name back in 2005
Here’s the final verse from the poem that I recited at the place where it all began. Despite the fact it was written 200 years ago, when it comes to celebrating the uplifting effects of nature, the sentiment still stands.
Final verse of ‘To a Skylark’ by Percy Shelley
Teach me half the gladness
That thy brain must know:
Such harmonious madness
From my lips would flow,
The world should listen then, as I’m listening now.
